DR on a PC

My PC has armor that should grant DR: 5/-. It's not actually adding the effect to my character, but I see the character sheet has a field for Dmg Reduction. How does this field work? Typing the number 5 seems to do nothing... does it need to be specially formatted?

If it's like other rulesets, items do not automatically add attacks, rolls or other effects; but the Actions tab can be set up to do so.

You would need to add an effect for "DR: 5" to the combat tracker for the character to get the DR to apply.
