I am a big fan of FG but a good portion of my friends who are DM’ing won’t use FG because it does not have any dynamic lighting (and is expensive). So, as a player I also use other tools to join their games.
I can understand that Smiteworks tries to get FGU to 1.0 first and then add new things, but a) it’s been awhile since it first release and b) it seems several new features are added in the last few weeks (see kickstarter page). I might be wrong, but I don’t see these features on top of the whishlist?
As I suggested before, instead of making lighting super duper by modifying all light sources and circumstances there might be, just one parameter per character would work fine for me for the time being. I imagine that’s less work for the developers, but at least gives us players/DM’s something.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll try to stick with FG (classic) because for me it’s value for money, but most younger players and DM’s I play with (getting really old here) see it otherwise.
