Creating custom Effects
I've spent the past hour reading the forums and watching videos on effects in FG, but unless I'm managing to competently skip over it (entirely possible) I can't see specifically how to create custom effects from the Effects bar in the top right.
I have written out the name and can click the effect, but only the name copies into the chat box. There's no actual effect tied to it.
Do I type the code required for the effect into where the name goes or is there some way to add effects like how you do on the PC Actions sheet?
Can somebody point a wally in the right direction, please.

You create the effects in the dialog just like you would if you were writing the effect in the Modifiers box in an effect on the actions tab. To apply the effect the target of the effect must be on the CT and you can click the running man icon to apply the effect or drag it and drop it on the target.
Does this answer your question? If not can you perhaps screenshot what you mean?If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

That's exactly it, yes, thank you!
I was just naming the effect, as you can see in the attached image.
Is this where I can find all of the effects I could type out or is there more? https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/...php/5E_Effects

Yes, that's the best resource.

Actually, don't suppose you would know I would need to type to have the following affect;
Stun on critical hit
I know it's an IF statement...

You can't create an effect which depends on any particular result. At least not automatically. You would just create an effect of stunned (or use the built in stunned effect from the effects dialog), and place it on the target that is the subject of the critical hit.

Ok, got you! I was hoping there would be something to replace my memory, as I keep forgetting about the effect.
Appreciate the help

Can you put the stunned effect as part of the action phrase on the character/NPC? I know there is some wording for automating effects on NPCs, but don't remember trying this one.

(Wiki page is said to be better, but I'm having trouble finding the right one at the moment)

Good idea. I've added the stun as a Power, so the burden of remembering it is on the PC.
