New User, Question on Importing

I know the character sheets are imported as xml but is that only ones exported or downloaded from FGU?

If not, I'm having issues importing my xml file, after it's uploaded it doesn't show in the character box for selection.

Hi Kaza welcome to FG

There is currently a glitch in that characters which have been created in another persons campaign are not showing up in the import characters window. You will likely need to get your DM to export the character and send you the file so you can import into another campaign.

Thanks for the reply, another question, if the import feature was working properly could you download a file in PDF format from a site like DnD Beyond, convert to xml and upload into FGU?

No. What you import into FG has to be in FG's specific XML format.

To be clear - if you have FG character XML, then you should be able to import that into an FGU campaign.

After you import your character XML via the "Import Character" screen, make sure you go back to the "Character Selection" screen to see the newly imported character.
