    Darkness in Unity

Is there a good way to do the darkness spell in Unity? I don't want the players to see the features in a room that is under a permanent darkness spell (unless they use magical light). Is there some way to obscure the room or area in darkness so I can still see the player tokens and the players can see their own token (but not each other)?

Have you tried using the Mask feature? It will give you some of what you want.

That might be ok if I weren't using line of sight. I suppose I could turn the mask on just for this room. Hoping for a better method though.

Oh, ok. That might be just the thing then. And I should be able to hide player tokens from each other player but not their own. I'll have to do some experimentation.

Being able to drop an area on the map that blocks line of sight like a darkness spell would be very useful. Is there any hint og this being added to Unity/LOS features?

Unfortunately, not all things will be able to be handled in an automated manner with FGU. Somethings, you're going to have to tell your players what the situation is (to the degree you wish to) and have them actually RP their way through it.
