Connection log.PNG
Here is the Line where the Ultimate User (Kapuzenwurm lower log) and the Free User (Jokl upper log) differ as far as i could see it.... not into this at all so i dont know if there is something to see here.
Its from the Files in the Post above.
I`ve now tried to install FG on my Laptop and created a new free user on Demo lisence an it with a new mail. User: Karazor
Tried to connect to my Campain hosted on my Main PC and i could get in just fine. PC and Laptop Run over the Same Router/WIFI
Log Files are attached Test PC Laptop 1
Tried a second time but this time the Laptop runs overt the internet on my phone - so not the same Network/Router
Again the Free User Could join just fine. Logs also attached in Test PC Laptop 2
Only difference i see on a first glance is that when the user connects i looks like this in the Log file:
Ultimate User
[4/1/2020 10:32:20 PM] Attempting authorization. [Kapuzenwurm - DIRECT]
[4/1/2020 10:32:20 PM] Client connected to host as 'Kapuzenwurm'
[4/1/2020 10:32:41 PM] Client ruleset download complete
[4/1/2020 10:32:41 PM] Launcher scene exiting.
[4/1/2020 10:32:42 PM] Tabletop scene starting.
Same for the Free User from the Last test:
[4/1/2020 11:49:28 PM] Noble Connect [133097]: Adding bridge for peer 128.199.60.165:49706 with client end point: 127.0.0.1:51210
[4/1/2020 11:49:28 PM] Attempting authorization. [Karazor - RELAY]
[4/1/2020 11:49:29 PM] Client connected to host as 'Karazor'
[4/1/2020 11:49:44 PM] Client ruleset download complete
[4/1/2020 11:49:44 PM] Launcher scene exiting.
[4/1/2020 11:49:44 PM] Tabletop scene starting.
But then when i compare it to the ones that cannot connect it looks like this:
[4/1/2020 10:22:23 PM] Noble Connect [48741]: Adding bridge for peer 80.108.41.181:62226 with client end point: 127.0.0.1:58249
[4/1/2020 10:22:23 PM] Attempting authorization. [Jockl - DIRECT]
[4/1/2020 10:22:24 PM] Client connected to host as 'Jockl'

Many thanks to everyone that has sent over log and campaign files so far. I have been reviewing all of these, since Sunday and looking for similarities; so I can figure out the issue.
Even with the files so far, I have been unable to recreate the scenario; so I am reaching out to the network library developer for assistance, as well as working on some new code to try and catch or resolve this issue.
I'll be responding with more information, once I have something to try out, or if I can think of any other information that would be useful.
Regards,

acquiring file list
Here are some additional log Files from our tries.
The first ones are of a Demo Player (short G) which tried to join my game. He got stuck at the "acquiring" loading screen. Although he managed to join Ultimate user "Markus Pfefferkorn" around 3 hours later. Markus shared the log files (of Demo user G) of the successful connection in the replied post.
Second files are these of the successful connection 3 hours later by Demo G and Ultimate user Markus.
Hope that helps.
PS: I tried to deinstall the game, deleted all existing data from my PC (also campaigns, assets,...) and installed it again. Tried the connection with a completely new Demo player, from a "fresh" PC, but the issues still appeared. Will collect these Log files tomorrow.Last edited by Kapuzenwurm; April 2nd, 2020 at 00:33. More logs plus MAC user
Here is my log file. I have one player on a MAC who after I reinstalled the game, started a campaign with all modules unloaded and no custome images was able to load in. I have 2 PC players still unable to join as they get stuck at the Acquiring Files bar.
It is a very frustrating issue since there is no apparent recourse.

I tried creating a new campaign with no modules and was able to get a friend to connect on his mac after days of trying. When I shared my phb module and he opened it my side froze up.

acquiring file list
Once again we tried various connections. I've added "Readme" txt-documents where necessary to explain what was added and done while the specific try. Definitely take a look at the first one, I listed thoughts and things we found out so far there.
Like the days before we encountered the issues only with Demo users - When an Ultimate user hosts for Ultimate it just works fine. But sometimes it mysteriously works when e.g. Markus host for Demo. I can't AND 3 hours later I can host and Markus can't. -> In the Mac folder are my tries with Demo user G which couldn't connect with me yesterday. A Timestamp is in the first Readme.
To be honest, we are running out of ideas under which conditions we could try to collect Log Files.
Markus and I have: 2 Demo players which had a connection to both of us before, 1 which only could join my game, 1 which only could join his game, 1 who crashed his game even before the "acquiring file list" screen appeared and 2 players on standby who we told to wait before installing FG.
Let us know if there is a scenario which we could try or if there is an attempt of which we can provide data with the players mentioned above.
Quarantine without D&D sucks an I definitely won't try roll20, soooo keep us busy!

I have a player that was able to connect to my FGU last wednesday or so. starting since friday they no longer can connect to any host (I see him connect and he drops eventually). all other players are fine. I even sent a laptop that worked for me at my house (over internet not local) and it didn't work there. he has a mac os10.13. he even tried both machines on his mobile hotspot to no help. He says he went through the other post on fixing connections. now if you want I can try to get the info on it all but he is a bit fed up. Just as a side note, I was able to test and run a Discord live on a second load of FGU while hosting first (yes I joined as a player in my own hosted campaign). so I shared the PC FGU to him and he would tell me what the character was doing and I would quickly switch and do it. so he only sees player side info and I control both. odd but works for now. keeps my group going.
I may be able to get him to get me the log files if you tell me what would help most

I was encountering this same issue, and was actually connecting logging information when I stumbled on what I believe to be a workaround, or a clue.
Issue: I was unable to log into my GM's Cloud server (we both have ultimate licenses) the login process was stalling for me at "acquiring file list" and was causing a 'pinwheel of death' on my GM's Mac
After overhearing a comment from another new player we were trying to get in the game, I hit the settings menu, and logged in, and received an invalid login/password error. (note the updater ran successfully not 5 minutes prior).
I re-entered my password and logged in.
trying to connect to my GM's game after logging in via the settings menu allowed me to login without issue.
so far i have been able to reproduce this sequence of events 4-5 times, (unable to connect, login via settings, successful connection) but i'd love it if some others can confirm this.
perhaps there is an issue with passwords not storing properly?Last edited by Wobberjockey; April 3rd, 2020 at 01:05. Reason: cleared up some sentence structure
