    Pre-made 5E adventures and Monster Manual

    Hi all!

    I backed FG Unity on Kickstarter but have only recently started playing around with the beta due to the coronavirus lockdowns. I have purchased the Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Monster Manual and noticed something that I haven't been able to find in the subreddit or elsewhere on the internet.

    I know that everything I need for running Lost Mine of Phandelver is already included in the module, but I noticed that the NPCs provided in the adventure appear to be linked to the SRD monsters instead of the ones in the Monster Manual that I had bought at the same time. This is not a big deal, but it would be nice to be able to link to the better quality images directly from the adventure. Is there anyway to link pre-made adventures to the Monster Manual, or would I have to do it manually each time? Thanks!

    The NPCs in Lost Mines aren't linked to anything. They are all included in the module as they were in the hard copy of the adventure. In other words what you see in the adventure is what is in the adventure.

    One could totally edit the LMoP encounters to replace the built-in NPCs with the ones from the MM, though. It's a quick drag and drop change for each encounter and would get you the tokens from the MM. I often do this, and also edit the story entry to link to flavor images from the MM.

    LMoP already has the tokens from the MM artwork. It also have flavour images, but they're maybe not as good quality as the ones in the MM.

    That notwithstanding - if you drag new creatures to encounters in LMoP you'll need to re-do any token pre-placement, which can be a pain. Still, it's an option if you really want to do it.

    I think the best approach would be to replace the link in the LMoP creature's "Other" tab with the image from the MM - unlock the creature record and drag/drop the image from the MM to the link icon in the "Other" tab.
