Downloading files freeze up
Hello,
Last night, when I tried to join my buddies 5e campaign, my client began "downloading files" after I entered the campaign password. Status bar filled the first bar, but then froze. I allowed it to continue dl'ing for about 20 minutes without change. I exited and re-enterd the game. All the other players had the same "downloading files" message, and a few of them took several minutes to DL, but ultimately were able to join the campaign. I tried a different router (IPhone Hotspot- It always has worked in the past) but got the same exact results. I was able to log into another friends campaign with no problems, so it does not appear to be the game, or my connection. Just a problem downloading from this one campaign.
He did attempt to unshare everything, and I attempted to log in after he did that, but again, the same exact result.
What do I do next?
Also.... I have been playing in this campaign since Fall with no problems. Nothing has changed on my end........

Welcome DuskRaider, to the community.
Try clearing your player cache (nuke button on the top right of the join screen) before rejoining if the DM has unshared stuff. It sounds very like he may just have been sharing a lot of material and it just may be that it took a long time to download everything. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Looks like a problem with the ruleset not loading properly. Go into your FG Data folder (Click the small folder icon top right of the start screen) and open up the rulesets folder. Delete the file CoreRPG.pak file and then update FG

That seems to have fixed the "manage characters" problems. I hope it also fixed the connection issue to my buddies campaign! Will know shortly. Thanks!!!
Update: That fixed both problems, Zacchaeus. Many thanks for your willing assistance!!!!Last edited by DuskRaider; March 21st, 2020 at 19:44.
