Unable to load ruleset file

Ever since yesterday fantasy grounds is refusing to load my pathfinder 2 campaign.
I get this error - unable to load ruleset file (base.xml).

I've tried reinstalling, deleting the coreRPG.pak and PFRPG2.pak and updating again and nothing works.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

Hi itaitai welcome to FG.

Check that there are no folders in your rulesets folder; if there are delete them and try again.

Are you able to start a new campaign? If so then something may be wrong with your existing one. You may have to revert to a back up of your campaign. First take a copy of the campaign folder and put it somewhere safe. Then in the existing folder find the file called db.xml and rename it to dbold.xml or something. Then find the biggest or most recent session.db file and rename it to db.xml; then start your campaign.

Before looking at your campaign data, first try starting a new campaign. Try creating a new CoreRPG campaign - does this work? If it does, then try creating a new PFRPG2 campaign - does this work?

I am able to start a coreRPG campaign, but i now i have no option to even start a new PFRPG2 campaign.
I logged my account and tried to update and no update is required according to it, so i deleted my PFRPG2 rule set again, updated and now it works...

Any idea what caused this to begin with?

It would have been some issue with the download of the PFRPG2.pak ruleset file.

Well, at least it's solved.
I initially thought it was caused because i don't have the core rulebook, only the campaign modules, but i guess it's not needed to run the game.
