Does not launch

Just installed it, and launched the updater. It just stays in the task manager with no prompts. Low memory usage and no CPU usage.
Any ideas what's going on?

So the updater runs but doesn’t do anything? This sounds like either your antivirus or something on your router is preventing the updater from working. Check that your AV hasn’t already quarantined DG and that you gp have an exception in place.

I've got the exception in the AV and I made sure my router is letting the ports through still (I still use FGC a lot so the ports work)
Still does nothing, I don't even get the launcher window

If you don't get the launcher window then something probably went wrong with the install. I'd delete the install folder and try again. Did you install to the default locations? Where did you install from (store or Steam) and are you on a mac or a PC.

I installed it from the downloader you get here since its not available through steam yet

I uninstalled and reinstalled to a different drive. It does the same thing.

Delete your AV exception. Recreate it when prompted. It probably has an exception for the FGC updater and executables, which have the same names but different file sizes etc so you AV thinks this is a virus impersonating FG. Probably.

Did that, still the same thing, it just stalls with no activity.
