1 ultimate or 2 standard.
With an ultimate license you can have as many computers connect to you as you want. This is what I do. I have my main GM computer with my ultimate license, then I have several other computers that have no license (hence they are running the free/demo) and they connect. Each local player then has their own screen, keyboard and mouse.

Your whole scenario hinges on the ability to shift from one map scene to another. You are going to have to either create the base images yourself, purchase them, or find them on the web.
Here on Fantasy Grounds, Trenloe has put together a thread for the various map making software, https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...ftware-summary.
Another resource is The cartographers guild. They have a list as well, https://www.cartographersguild.com/s...ead.php?t=1407.
The internet itself has a lot of discussions on these topics.

Is also a good source for maps. If you investigate the patreon pages (usually mentioned in the comments) of the creators of the "more professional" looking maps you'll often find that they have multiple variations of the same map available for their subscribers. Usually there's at least day/night versions, but is pretty common to see seasonal variants of the outdoor maps.

You can use one standard license on the GM computer and a demo license on the player computer. FG will switch to "demo" mode when the player demo license connects, and you won't be able to have any other demo players connect, you will be able to do this with a standard license and one demo player only - no further demo licenses can connect in demo mode, and if a standard license connects demo mode will end and the original demo license connection will be kicked off. Basically this functionality is to allow a standard license GM to demonstrate the functionality to one free/demo license only, no other connections. If you have more than one player computer you want to connect to the GM you will need standard licenses for all or the ultimate license for the GM.
