Can't get custom effects to work

    Hi all

I am trying to create a custom weapon but I am having trouble getting it to work. I heave entered the following code into the weapon's damage section:

    IFT: TYPE (undead); DMG: 1d6

However when I tested it, the result came back as "TYPE: untyped" in the chat box. I'm using the 5e monster manual for my monsters. I've tested the code against undead and non-undead with the same result. I have also tried target a creature and clicking the "damage" butto in the PC character sheet and dropping the damage onto the target token

Does anyone know what I have done wrong?

    Hi Aphasial, welcome to FG.

You cannot (normally) attach effects to a weapon; the effect would have to sit in the character's action tab and be applied from there. You can however use this extension to do what you want https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...cs-characters)
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

What you can do though(if you don't want to download another extension), is code the weapon like you would a spell.

Yeah, a missed opportunity by the 5e ruleset...

Extensions = risk to your gaming experience. If you haven't tested out the extensions in your campaign before your gaming session, turn them off. If you don't backup your campaigns regularly, you're doing it wrong.
