Published material naming convention
This is driving me nuts, it's not just my OCD, but can we please for the love of Torm have a consistent naming method? Many of the modules, groups and images have inconsistent naming methods like DD, D&D, DD 5E, or reversed <insert group type> DD/D&D/DD 5E. It makes organizing groups, etc a horrid annoyance, it wouldn't be as annoying if it wasn't so that after every restart of FG these inconsistencies are overwritten by the module, even though I had changed them. Let player/dm changes to groups and names take precedence over the module's defaults please, that would make me very happy.
The worst offender in the images/maps groups:
D&D Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide - Player's Guide
D&D Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide - Campaign Guide
That one in particular is pretty old and has been in there for an age. Can we expect some future cleanup of older modules?

I haven’t got a solution yet for SCAG, but it will get sorted in time.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

If only groups wouldn't be overwritten by module updates, that'd be great.

Thank you! I had to believe I wasn't alone with the naming convention issues. The biggest problem are in the modules themselves, but even the store filter is inconsistent:
5E Compatible
D&D 4E
D&D fifth edition
Why wasn't "D&D 5E" used? That seemed like a no-brainer.

Not sure what you are saying there, but it seems like sarcasm. Not meaning to offend. I just happened to be a licensed reseller for a software vendor myself (totally unrelated to gaming) so I have some experience in this matter. I think what seems odd about this is that I see a consistent use of "5E" everywhere else. From a branding perspective it just seemed a little unusual.

If you do a search of official Wizards sites you will find that they simply call D&D just that - D&D. They dont really want you referring to it as anything else. It is D&D. You will also find that in most official wizards material where a version is mentioned that version is "fifth edition". It is in lower case deliberately. The Wizards hate edition wars and they really dont want to talk about past editions - not because they dont like them just they want to talk about the now product. They want people talking about and playing D&D. And D&D is D&D fifth edition.
Here are a few random official links:
In the 114 page Basic Rules neither 5e or fifth edition are mentioned. It is simply D&D. https://media.wizards.com/2016/downl...icRulesV03.pdf
D&D home page - same thing. https://dnd.wizards.com/products/leg...fantasy-gaming
The SRD home page uses "fifth edition" and "5th edition" https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/fea...e-document-srd
The use of intellectual property page only uses "fifth edition" https://wizards.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88
Character sheets page onlu uses "fifth edition" https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/fea...aracter_sheets
Article on translated versions only uses "fifth edition" https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/news/localization
Digital Tools page uses "fifth edition" https://dnd.wizards.com/digital_tools
etc etc
The lower case is because its not the important part. D&D is the focus of all the branding.
Consistent use of 5E is by third parties.
