    Bastard DM's INC

If you want to toy with your players heres a little thing I did ages ago

It took a little work but was worth it in the end

In a module I was running I produce 4 copies of a regional map and using a paint program (paint.net for me) I altered each a little more than the last. Map1 being the correct one Map4 being the most wrong. (takes a bit of practice but a cloning tool here is your friend) . A river Here, A forest there etc

I allowed anyone who wanted to roll survival

Depending on their rolls they got a map.

They all thought they were looking at the same map!

If someone draw a circle or Line I had to draw one on the maps too to keep up the pretence...

Got a good 2-3 mins of arguing about which way they should go!

"WHAT F*CKING RIVER!!!?? There is NO river North of us!!!

"RIVER!? You mean a Forest dont you?"

"honesty Id just rather stay here at the tavern drinking..."

    THey caught on eventually hahahahaha

"When questing once in noble wood of gray medieval pine, I came upon a tomb, rain-slicked, rubbed cool, ethereal, its inscription long vanished, yet still within its melancholy fissures."
