It was fun watching Digital Dave Middleton almost fall to pieces when Drake game him his gift of D&D A5 -- his last missing piece of the collection.

It would be nice if people could get those Patron badges on the forum based off of lifetime purchases or something like that. Maybe a different designation.

Not a huge deal either way but a recognition of long time financial support not tied to the Kickstarter.

It was a pledge level available with the Kickstarter. i.e. you had to pledge enough to be able to go. It was a one time event that occurred about a week ago.

EDIT: that was the Alpha Launch Party, the Alpha build itself was also a pledge level from the Kickstarter.

How will I then know about the beta release, I don't check the kickstarter email often, or hardly at all? There was no code or ID, just the email associated with my account.

You will get an email. If you chose not to check your email, then you can check the KS updates page. If you chose to not check there, then when you come here and ask the advice will probably be to check the KS page.

A few things you can do:
1) Check the KS page.
2) Temporarily forward the email you use for Kickstarter to your normal email address.
3) Check the KS page.
