Use the Custom Decal to promote atmosphere

    I thought I might give a tip.

In my games I use the Custom Decal for quotes (some made up, some paraphrased)

It gives a bit of a feel of other things going on in the world outside the adventure.

I sometimes even throw is little excepts from my player's lives before the game (they can either use it to build a bit more background or ignore it )

Here are some examples of what I mean

My players seem to like it...
"When questing once in noble wood of gray medieval pine, I came upon a tomb, rain-slicked, rubbed cool, ethereal, its inscription long vanished, yet still within its melancholy fissures."

That's a great idea! I never thought of that. Most excellent!

I like the idea of quotes! I switch my campaign's custom decal to match whatever is happening in the game at the moment, but I could definitely seem times when a quote might be even more effective. Something I'll need to remember.
