    Rappan Athuk Session 4 Open Game Sat Noon PDT GMT-8

    Rappan Athuk is a con open gaming room style campaign. Object is just to “sit down” and have fun exploring a huge old style dungeon. This is a dungeon crawl with “pick up” characters and players. Different character every session? Fine. Can only commit to one session? Great.

    I’m looking for 4-6 players a session. If you are free and just want to play some D&D this Saturday - jump on over to Four Ugly Monsters and checkout the details here.

    Note: Time is always somewhat iffy as far as time differentials (probably due to Daylight savings time). I went back to GMT -8 because I had someone show up off an hour. You can get the real time differential by looking at when I posted this. It is a few minutes before Noon which is when the game would start on Saturday. If the board time correct for you then you know the actual starting time.

    Still three seats left... get your tickets ;)

    Currently party seems to be a Mortis Ftr4, Bagaduce Bbn3/Clr1, Hugo Black Rog3/Ftr1. Arcane and divine casters are probably the most needed to balance out the party. Rappan Athuk is a friendly place always looking for a few new visitors.

    Still have 3 places left for anyone who would like to play some D&D this Saturday.

    After action report

    9 of Marpenoth. Mortis, Bagoduce, Hugo Black, Vertus Tanner and Korvan journey to Rappan Athuk and go down the well. Despite the darkness pressing around then they managed to fend off several foul creatures while standing in filthy water. A little of Mortis’ life energy is drained but by the next morning he has shaken off the effect. All of the adventurers other than Mortis reappear grasping with white knuckles their weapons and appearing extremely jumpy with dilated pupils – though an hour later Mortis also shows the same the same effects. Only gradually does this nervousness fade, finally fading when darkness falls.

    The party choose to go down the well, this time around. Things went relatively smoothly until the Hugo, the last character to come down, began climbing down the rope by himself. The first affects of the darkness of the well made its effects felt (and can the record of 4 times rolling a 3 on his save be broken? – and probably half a dozen under 5?). The slippery floor under the water tripped up the heavily armored members. Still Mortis and Hugo were a nasty one two punch on one opening and Bagaduce, Vertus and Koran held the other opening and finally managed to run off the creatures on there side.

    Everyone gained 640 XP, however when the group came back their ropes and grappling hook was left behind. Don’t forget to re-buy any lost equipment if you want to have it.
