    Yes this is funny and cruel, like our lives.

    Edit.: if it is true, this announcement is a Masterpiece.

    Remember that it is a Kickstarter, which means needs funding and not ready yet....

    Still think it's a great joke tease though if that's what it is...

    A kickstarter doesn't necessarily mean not finished. Some companies complete the stuff before they go to kickstarter. I got the impression that this was what Smiteworks had planned.

    It's possible to release full products on Kickstarter as well. I mentioned on the Discord server that Morrus from EN World has said on his podcast how he often has completed products ready, then uses the Kickstarter to fun their release/take orders. The platform doesn't just have to be used for pre-production costs.

    Have faith; Doug and company have generally taken really good care of their customer base.

    My wallet is ready, unless of course my wife goes on an unnecessary buying spree in the next month.
    DMing since 1979. Ultimate License holder.

    Currently GMing:
    * Yggsburgh and Castle Zagyg - Castles and Crusades Greyhawk (Mon/Fri - on hiatus)
    * Temple of Elemental Evil - Castles and Crusades Greyhawk (Thursday - on hiatus)
    * 2e Greyhawk (Wednesday)

    Thanks for 7+ years of gaming via FG my friends (2e / 3.5e / Rolemaster Classic / Castles & Crusades / Pathfinder / Savage Worlds / 5e).

    There/Their/They're are all different words and do not mean the same thing.

    This is exactly my impression and why I've stuck to FG instead of switching to R20.

    Also note the Date this is a pre-announcement for Next month. So I could see this being real.
