    SWADE Chase Rules

I'm sure I've just missed the forum post for this, but how is the new SWADE ruleset handling Chases?

Cross-examining Lawyer: Mister Cogburn, in your four years as US Marshal, how many men have you shot?
    Rooster Cogburn: Shot? Or killed?
Cross-examining Lawyer: Let us restrict it to killed so we may have a manageable figure!

This was myself and Pepor trying out a way to do it...
My players just defeated an army, had a dogfight with aliens, machine-gunned the zombies, stormed the tower, became Legendary and died heroically

Yours are still on combat round 6

Thanks Doswelk. I was practicing using the same method.

I know you stated Ikael is still working on this, but I've been resistant to the new SWADE Chase rules in general. Perhaps because it's still new and I haven't had a chance to run them myself but so far every instance of someone using or talking about them has struck me as anti-Fast. Some have described them as a different type of combat "mini game". In your example (understanding that FG isn't optimized and you're still learning the Chase rules) you were only dealing with 2 characters and a few orcs. The time needed for a chase can grow considerably with a full group of 4-6 players. In Deluxe I grew to like the abstract nature of its chase rules. It allowed me to keep it narrative and fairly free form and generally FFF. But it was pointed out that I might like to use the Quick Encounter rules instead. I'm leaning in that direction. The QE rules would allow that free form abstract feel that Deluxe had for me. Anyways, thanks for the example and I look forward to what Ikael comes up with.
