    Ready to purchase

    If I buy this program will I;

    1) be able to use it and any core books through Steam?

    2) be able to have it installed through Steam on both my desktop and laptop at the same time?

I already canceled my subscription after less than a day to make an investment. Is a refund available?

    1) The Steam install is exactly the same as the install on this website. If you purchase from this website, the key will sent to Steam (approx. every month) so it will register on Steam. There's really little advantage to buying through Steam, unless you're not in the USA and get favourable local pricing.

    2) As mentioned above - the Steam install is no different from the normal FG install. You are allowed to use your license on a couple of computers, as long as they are your computers and you won't use them at the same time.

You won't usually get a refund on a subscription. But you can see if SmiteWorks will make an exception - email them at [email protected]

    Thanks.

Bought FG, the Players Handbook, DM Guide, Monster Manual, and Lost Mine Dlc's.

    Let's get this party started.

Hi Earche, and Welcome! to the party,

If you haven't done so already, let me encourage you to take a look at some of the great Tutorial Videos available on the Fantasy Grounds Wiki (and on YouTube). Damn's are good, as are Xorn's, and people seem to like mine as well (mine are also available from the links in my sig, below).

Start with the ones on the CoreRPG, because the CoreRPG forms the foundation of just about all the RPGs we play with Fantasy Grounds - so by learning how to use FG with the CoreRPG you'll learn about 80% of what you'll need to know to play any RPG with Fantasy Grounds. Once you've gone through the CoreRPG Videos you can then go on to Videos about your chosen RPG.

When you get familiar with the basic Fantasy Grounds product the next step is to check out some of the Extensions (Plug-Ins) for FG, such as the DOE: Sound, DOE: Locations, DOE: Weather and DOE: Organisations Extensions (to name a but a few - and a Shameless™ Self Plug).

You may also want to drop into the FG College; a great place for newcomers to get started.

And of course, there's plenty of Twitch Channels where you can watch games in progress (including my own - https://www.twitch.tv/dulux_oz - another Shameless™ Self Plug).

And keep on asking questions - we're a pretty friendly lot here, and we love answering questions.

    Cheers
    Dulux-Oz

This is such a shift to what I've been doing for so many years. Heck, I can't even figure out how to access the content I've purchased. i.e PHB, DMG, MM

It's late. Maybe a good nights sleep is in order before I chase the rabbit down the hole.

Open up FG, create a new 5E campaign (call it what you like - Test, for example), then click on the Libary button (bottom right of the screen. This will open up the Library window: clcik the Modules button and you'll see all the data modules you'v got installed.

(Note: you should have done an Update from the FG Launch screen to ensure everything you've purchased has been downloaded.)

Click on the small Closed Book icon (bottom righ of each entry) to open up the Module(s) you want, then close the Data Module Activation window and you'll see the selected Modules down the left-hand side of the Library window. Now you can click on each one to open/read it.

This is all in the Tutorial Vids I mentioned, BTW, so thatose are a really good resource for people.

    Any other questions: just ask

    Cheers
