Using Ultimate to host for someone else to DM
Hello all. I was looking into purchasing FG Ultimate because it states that I can host games for people with demo to play. A vast majority of my friends dont have much expendable cash, so I thought it would be a good idea, however, I dont DM. So I was going to purchase Ultimate so that my normal DM could run while I hosted the server. From what I have read, this isn't possible as of the latest post I read from 2017. I'm curious if there has been any updates to this concept?

Hi Talgimar, welcome to FG.
There haven’t been any changes. Only the license holder can host games. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

No changes to this, and none expected. This is limited mostly due to DLC licensing. You can however purchase as gifts for someone else...

You could gift a license to whoever is going to DM.

Or you could purchase a 4 pack via Steam for the price of 3 standard licenses, I think that would be about the same cost. Then anyone could DM. Though Content could only be shared by the DM, not all the 'players'
