Hi all. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance!

    I have done the following:

    1. Lan ip address: 192.168.0.24
    2. First two octets: 24.130
    3. Wireless connection
    4. I have set it to private
    5. I am running Windows Defender, and I set 1802 open to all traffic, as well as set exceptions for Fantasy Grounds
    6. Tracing route to dns.google [8.8.8.8 ]over a maximum of 30 hops:

    7. I have set the port forwarding on my Arris router. I use Xfinity, but because I have my own router, I don’t have xfi.

I used port forwarding previously on FGC. I used to use FGC on a VTT and ran a second laptop via the IP as an initiative tracker for the party.

Some things have changed since then:
I upgraded my speed via Xfinity; I am using a borrowed laptop as mine is in the shop; I am using FGU.
Xfinity says they can’t help me, and Arris is not offering support.

If I understand this correctly, this is not an issue for me since I own my own router. I don't have Xfi, so there is no way they can set up security to block a port. Please let me know if that is not the case.

Update: I set my IP address to be static, but still no luck.

I cant tell you the ins and outs of your providers service. You may be correct. This is not something that they are applying on their supplier routers its soething they are doing on the router your router connects to.

    Can you ping patch.fantasygrounds.com

Ok your second set of info suggest that your ISP is not doing the things mentioned in that other thread.

    So -

#2 please confirm by way of screenshot(s) that the router WAN and FG External IP are the same.
    #5 post screenshot of rule(s)
#7 post screenshot of Port Forward rules and Port Triggering setup

  8. #388
I can see that the WAN is not the same...

I cant see where you posted the WAN IP screenshot (IPv4 please) on the Router.

Your screenshot is FGU. FGU uses UDP. Please set another port forwarding rule the same as the TCP one but using UDP.

If that doesnt work. Close all FG. Delete all the FG rules in Windows Defender. Launch FG and then Allow it on All networks when prompted.

Sorry, I thought WAN meant IPv6

    ip.png

I added a rule in the router port forwarding so there is UDP access.
I deleted the rules in Defender, and when I started FGU I got the prompt.
When I checked if the port was open (with the open port tool) it says that it is still closed.

More thanks for helping me with this! I owe you a six pack.
