What does Short Rest do in PFRPG/3.5E?

What exactly does clicking on the Short Rest option from the Combat Tracker menu do in PFRPG/3.5E?

it advances the combat tracker 10 mins i believe. to remove effects that have "rounds" duration and whatnot..

Testing seems to show it sets the Round back to 1 and runs effects down by 50 rounds, which would be 5 minutes. I wonder why that number was chosen?

Sharing code from the 4E ruleset I'd imagine, as I believe that was where the 5 minutes short rest idea came in for D&D systems. https://dnd4.wikia.com/wiki/Short_rest

Thanks, Trenloe! Do you know if it does anything else behind the scenes? And if selecting Short Rest from a character sheet does anything at all?

Nope. All it does is remove effects with duration less than 50 rounds, and reduce the duration of those effects greater than 50 rounds by 50 rounds.

No code, other than saying "Taking short rest." in the chat window.
