Discussion: 3D combat- How would you or do you do it?
This is applicable to all rule sets in Fantasy Grounds.
I am trying to discover the most efficient yet immersive way to cover any scene involving flight.
1.) How do you track vertical movement
2.) Do you have any rules that give incentive for attackers who have "high ground?" (Extra range? More impact damage?
3) Does movement speed change when the choice to drop altitude is made?
4) Regarding instances that don't utilize magical flight or create lift by forward thrust...do you have a minimum forward movement speed? How do you consider stalling? How do you regain control from stalling?
5) What other factors do you consider? Do your players who are not accustomed to flight suffer any conditions from cold or thin air at extreme altitudes?
Thank you for your input.
