Traveller 5?
Would the MoreCore ruleset or the Classic Traveller ruleset with the Traveller 5 extension be the better choice for running a Traveller 5 game?

What are the core mechanics for T5?
You could play Classic Traveller with MoreCore just fine - but its soooo much better in the full ruleset!

It's basically roll dice for Difficulty Level < Characteristic Value + Skill Level with the occasional positive and negative modifiers to either the Char+Skill or actual roll. The Difficulty Level determines the number of D6s rolled, with Average being 2d6 but can be a few as 1d6 are as many as 10d6 or more. There are several other dice mechanics used like the Flux (1d6-1d6) variations for randomness, but I'd say that one is the core.

I'd love to build the T5 ruleset, a lot of it is very similar of course, but the dice rolling mechanic would need changing.
Ruleset and much more content built for FGU.
