Looking for router recommendations

OK, I'm on Comcast... And I have an older Surfboard...

The latest firmware update followed by a factory reset is keeping me from now hosting FG.

Anyone got a a recommendation for a decent (under $100 though) router that is compatible with Comcast issues and can easily let me get set up for FG?

Are you paying $10/month to use their cable modem?

If so, and you're still on docsys 3, then why not buy a new cable modem (under $50) and then it pays for itself in 5 months.

As to a router, try to find something that's dd-wrt compatible. I love my TP-Link.
