Multiple systems - one base file
I am working on some things that are essentially same in Pathfinder and 5e. 98% or more of the text is the same, just a few differences once you make the stat blocks.
I was thinking the easiest was to make the module in a coreRPG campaign and once all the text is in, just copy the campaign to two different folders for the two target systems and then edit the xml to change to Pathfinder and 5e.
I think table and story functionality is the same in all three, but the parsing of spells and NPC differs.
Is it just a simple change to an entry or two in the XML or does it require lots of searching and replacing?Ultimate License. Running Hyperborea and CoC. Asks lots of questions. Mgpotter.com. PureVPN is a tested solution to run games when traveling. https://billing.purevpn.com/aff.php?aff=33044

PC, NPC and Spell data will be quite different. You won't even be able to create those in a CoreRPG campaign for use in either PFRPG or 5E.
But the base common campaign data is usable in both: story, maps/images, tables, etc.. But if these link ruleset specific entries (like a NPC) then you'll have to edit those links to point to the correct data.Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. So if I do not do anything but story, story templates and tables and then copy the folder, I can switch the ruleset identifier and continue in the new ruleset for all the specific items? And the ruleset identifier is just one entry in the XML?
