    ISO map w/tokens by request

My previous post was of the map types I have been working on. A request was made for what the tokens I mentioned looked like. Here are two examples. One is of actual miniatures photos made into tokens and the other is from FRUA freeware icons found out in the ether. (Visit https://rpg.fantasticadventures.net/ for many of the tokens featured in that example)

I am curious what the general community here thinks of the two examples. I kinda lean towards the old school icons because of the rich colors and sharpness of detail. However, the painted miniatures tokens could be an endless source of token making fodder. I have not figured out how to make them appear sharper consistently, especially once you lock the token scale in FG they get kinda blurry.

    Holy smoly! That looks awsome!

Its hard to say which ones are better. Are the ones at the 'back' of the free ware icons differant from the others? They look differant.

    looks really nice.
Facing might be hard to determine, and battles that go in the opposite direction will look funny unless you have tokens in 2-3 different angles.
The overall look in the shots is real nice though.

Hmmm, interesting, but I don't think I like the ISO look and feel. I am picky though, and I know it would drive me nuts when icons in the back would get 'on top' of the ones that should be 'closer'.

Thanks for looking. I intended for the grid size to be five feet when I made the map, but since you can scale the token size up and down and then lock in place it can work at any scale. When I create an actual dungeon I plan on denoting the scale and giving an example of this in relation to the miniatures on the map itself.
