map interface
I had an idea about making the map interface a little more complex while making working with it easier.
This goes into the realm of unlikely but here goes.
I have to screens, then I will describe how I think they could work.
Ok, so you can now load up to three maps in the same window, or the same map three times. In the screen I have three characters outside the tower and two characters inside.
The characters outside can only see the map that they are on, shown as it exist now with their icon on the tab where the are. The guys inside can only see the inside of the tower.
Acessing the mask or drawing tabs affects the map that is currently viewed and would show the appropriate sub tools for each mode.
Moving characters from one map to the next would require dragging the players smaller icon to the proper tab.
Not sure how the tokens would actually transfer from one map to the next though.
Anyway, just thought I would throw trhe idea out there.

Off topic, but I like the maps, did you do them yourself? If so, they look like they are photoshopped. I have been busting my head to figure out how to do this since my Dundjinni died.

BTW... very cool idea.... having the maps on a floating "tabs" interface would be sweet, if it could be implemented.Ultimate Licence holder
I've had FG for so LONG I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT!
But I'm learning!

Thanks,
Yeah I do some of my maps in photoshop, quite a few start out in Illustrator as well.
I usually have either YIM or AOLIM open feel free to ask questions about photoshop, or anything else.

Yeah, I agree with some of your ideas here, I personally hate the right click for all the menu's philosophy they have here. Maybe I am too windows oriented and used to menus, but right clicking for everything annoys me and I think it limits the possible number of options on the menu.

I agreee, this is awesome. While I like the relative simplicity of the program, it seems foolish not to make use of the power of the tool that you are using, (the computer), I mean we are into the 21st century. Its like driving around in first gear all the time. :P

Excellent ideas ...
Hope the problems with sharing maps won't be in the way for something like this ... (I still have to make maps smaller than 1MB, or we gets hang-ups).
Make sure to let us know when those tokens are finished ...
Here is a preview Devinnight posted at DJ: https://www.dundjinni.com/forums/for...151&PN=1&TPN=4

BTW
Hate to swipe your thread here but... Have you ever thought about selling your maps or tokens? I know I would drop some money on them. I certainly don't know how to draw that good.
