    5e Module Updates

    A huge number of fixes and updates were made across all modules and issued with the v 3.2 update of Fantasy Grounds; too many to list here. Going forward it is hoped that updates will be more frequent and this thread will contain details of any updates so that users have a clearer idea of what has been fixed or changed in any particular module. General changes to the Fantasy Grounds engine or the 5e ruleset won't be noted here. These can be found in the patch notes here.

    If you come across any errors in a module please report these in the bugs thread.

    Note: Where appropriate any fixes will also have been made to any Core Class Packs or the Customisation Pack

    • Several versions of Clerical Divine Smite incorrect – Fixed

    March 2017

    • Added links to tools list in all classes after equipment section
    • Moved 'Cantrips Known' column in tables out of Spell slots section into main table in all relevant spellcasting classes
    • Corrupted text in Symbol and Melf's Acid arrow spells - Fixed
    • Incorrect weight of explorer's pack - Fixed
    • Unneeded wording in Unarmed strikes section - Removed
    • Various broken links in class packs - Fixed


    V 3.2.2 Updates

    • Link to Guild Artisan Image not working - Fixed
    • Link to Confusion Table in Confusion Spell broken - Fixed
    • NPC Spider Actions mixed up - Fixed
    • Various typos in the spells, Fly, Teleportation Circles, Melf's Acid Arrow, Wall of Force and Stoneskin - Fixed
    • Moved the cantrips column in the Wizard spell table to the first part of the table rather than in spells per spell slot.


    V 3.2.1 Updates

    • Bard Class: Superior Inspiration wording corrected
    • Paladin Class: Removed Hunter's Mark Spell from Paladin Spell list
    • Barbarian Class: Rage now corrected to read that Rage can be voluntarily ended as a bonus action
    • Cleric Tempest Domain - changed Control Weather spell to Control Water

    Storm King's Thunder Updates

    May 2017

    • Minor typo in items header – Fixed
    • Thumbnail which had once again reverted back to an earlier version - Fixed



    3.3.0 Updates

    • Added. All images for magic items which previously required the DMG
    • Broken links to mounted combat - Fixed
    • Incorrect token for Lymrith in one encounter - Fixed
    • Grand Dam players map, incorrect grid - Fixed (and all encounters repositioned)
    • Incorrect thumbnail on module (again!) - Fixed



    March 2017

    • Encounter 04.03.017 Fixed
    • Yakfolk Priest spellcasting trait - Fixed
    • Added all MM images to module so that MM no longer required to view images


    3.2.1 Updates


    • All tables which showed random numbers of monsters now converted to the new V3.2 Random Encounters
    • Sorted Items and Images into different categories to make finding those easier
    • Fixed all links to PHB and DMG which had broken due to changes made in the PHB and DMG.

    Lost Mine of Phandelver Updates

    November 2017
    Substantial update of the entire module including, but not limited to:


    • Added: A complete reference manual with inline graphics, sidebars, full links to encounters, parcels and images sufficient to allow the adventure to be run entirely from the reference section.
    • Added: Several new quests to allow for easier distribution of XP at certain points in the adventure as well as making life easier and more convenient for the DM
    • Added: Several new NPCs, mainly traps and hazards to allow the DM to distribute damage or make saving throws more conveniently and from the Combat Tracker
    • Added: All overland maps now have image pins to major locations and events in the adventure allowing the DM to more easily run the adventure
    • Added: Dozens of new links to internal locations as well as to the rulebook so that the DM has an easier time finding the information they need both within the adventure and externally
    • Added: Some magic items that were missing from the original adventure
    • Added: Tokens for some NPCs that should have had tokens rather than a letter
    • Added. All treasure items are now listed as equipment so that proper descriptions, costs and weights can be allocated
    • Added. Several new equipment items have been added to enable DMs and players to more adequately use the items within the adventure.
    • Added. New tables to automatically roll some random encounters
    • Added. All relevant encounters have now been converted to random encounters
    • Added. Many new parcels to more adequately cover some situations where only part of a treasure might be gained
    • Updated: All existing quest text has been revised to be more descriptive of the actual quest
    • Updated: Appendices A and B have been updated
    • Updated: All story entries have been updated with additional links to artwork, as well as correction of some text layouts.
    • Updated: Several existing NPCs have been updated so that all attacks, damage, saves and effects appear correctly on the CT
    • Updated: Existing magic items have been updated to include non-id names and descriptions
    • Fixed: All pregenerated characters now work correctly without throwing errors when added to the adventure

    November 2018
    • Added: Errata from WotC

    • Firearms with incorrect descriptions and properties - Fixed


    October 2017
    Added a 'Players' module to the DMG to enable the DM to more easily share player specific information. The module includes:

    • Anti-Paladin and Evil High Priest class archetypes
    • Equipment: Poisons
    • Weapons: Modern and Renaissance firearms and ammunition
    • Races: Aasimar and Eladrin


    May 2017

    • Dozens of typos thanks to a pass through a spell checker and the efforts of Kronides on the forums
    • Sidebar for Divine Ranks too long – Fixed
    • Broken links in Horns of Valhalla and Wonder of Wonders Tables – Fixed
    • Changed – Magic items will no longer have a random value. The value shown will be the range as per the table on p135 of the DMG.



    v 3.3.0 Updates


    • Dragging and Dropping magical armours was doubling up the bonus - Fixed
    • Heavy magical armour was reducing speed - Fixed
    • A large number of broken links due to spell names and/or creature names being misspelled - Fixed
    • Replaced Weapon of Warning link in Magic Item Table I and created new Table for Weapon of Warning
    • Cleaned up a few minor spelling errors.


    v 3.2.2 Updates
    • Horns of Valhalla links to other tables - Fixed
    • Table: Armor of Resistance Result 12 link - Fixed
    • Table: 50gp Gemstone Citrine link - Fixed

    Curse of Strahd Updates

    March 2017

    • Added: New player module containing the Haunted One background and the Hunter's Equipment pack so that players can now use normal drag and drop functionality at character creation.
    • Added: Story Template for 'Card Reading'
    • Fixed: Broken link to DMG 'Madness' section
    • Fixed: Strahd's Actions corruption - also added Lair Actions
    • Updated: All encounters which had a random number of NPCs updated to use Random Encounters

    • Added: WotC errata

    June 2017 Updates

    • Fixes to the action and traits sections of the following Monsters: Beholder, Beholder Zombie, Death Tyrant, Gelatinous Cube, Various Dragons, Kuo-toa, Mummy, Purple Worm, Rust Monster, Steam Mephit, Umber Hulk, Gibbering Mouther and Vampire
    • Added. Missing variants: Mind Flayer Arcanist, Vampire Warrior and Vampire Spellcaster.


    3.3.0 Updates

    • Huge number of typos and formatting text errors (we are talking hundreds here) throughout the text
    • Corrected Yuan-ti Malison abilities and weapons


    3.2.2 Updates

    The Yawning Portal

    This post contains details of updates to the Yawning Portal adventure.

    June 2017 Update All modules - (Big shout out to astromath and Beldak for tracking these down)

    • Large number of typos mainly in NPC notes
    • Corrected some missing and misplaced tokens
    • Corrected contents of some parcels
    • Corrected various NPC traits and actions
    • Corrected some NPCs with missing or incorrect actions/traits
    • Added some missing images

    TYP (Against the Giants) Thanks to astromath for hunting these down

    • Giant’s bag table producing some incorrect rolls – Fixed
    • Waythe - added a new NPC, parcel and notes giving DMs options as to where this item is (the official PDF doesn’t mention where the sword should be – only its sheathe. The sword is detailed only in the appendices)
    • Various NPCs which were missing some weapons, attributes or incorrect descriptions (White Puddings, Jarl Grunfer & Estia, Obmi, Yeti Leader) – Fixed
    • King Snurre’s Treasure Table not rolling properly – Fixed
    • Hell Hound Cloak with incorrect information – Fixed
    • Problems with Throne Room treasure - Fixed
    • Tentacled Wall - updated
    • Added – Story template and various rollable tables to enable DMs to create a treasure parcel with random cleric scrolls and potions at 3.2.10

    • Added a new story template, parcel and tables to enable the DM to randomly roll/select Arcane spells, a magic sword and some magic armour at 3.3.08
