    Carraige returns in
    Is that a way to place a carriage return in text without having to create another paragraph.

    Failing that is there a way to adjust the spacing between paragraphs in a specific <formattedtext> entry to make parapgraphs look like new lines?

    Well, there's a way to accomplish this. I don't know if this is the best solution, but it is a possibility. If you use a table with a single table data-entry in each table row. Like this:

    Code:
    <table>
    	<tr><td>One line</td></tr>
    	<tr><td>Next line</td></tr>
    </table>
