DSA, Das Schwarze Auge - The Dark Eye - Let's discuss
Each quarter or so when I run statistics on ruleset usage, I see DSA landing somewhere around 10th or 11th place among all rulesets. The owners of this license just launched a Kickstarter to publisher a version translated into English (it is normally German) and it funded in just 3 hours. Is anyone here familiar with the system or know who wrote the original ruleset? We are investigating to see if this is something that we could possibly contract to bring to FG in an official capacity.

I do know it was originally published by Schmidt Spiele, but I think they went bankrupt in the late 90's. Not sure who owns them or the trademarks. You can find some quick start rules here Pretty sure that's what the kickstarter is based on.

I shot a note over to Arne Nax to see if he knows who wrote the existing DSA ruleset.

The initial ruleset was (I think) written by Fenloh and team (the ones responsible for the sr4 ruleset)

The Core Rules PDF has already been pushed out to backers. With the Backerkit surveys and with the add-ons that were purchased they hit all their stretch goals.
