IDEA: Grid square map revealing tool
Here is my suggestion:
In addition to the freehand lasso, there could be a grid square revealing tool. This way you could lay down the grid over your map, select this tool, and reveal a whole grid square one at a time.
This tool would be very helpful for those of us who can't draw a straight line with the mouse. The freehand lasso is very useful for caverns and things like that, but regular straight and neat dungeons is difficult not to reveal other parts.

A suggestion for a solution...
In a lot of graphics programs, like PS, if you use the shift key while you are drawing, it makes what you are drawing 'snap' to a straight line, or a perfect circle or square.
Maybe this is a solution?

I guess that's a way around it, to implement the SHIFT key functionality. But I think it still would be faster (for us users) to reveal one grid square at a time instead of trying to outline it with the freehand lasso. Especially if when you make a mistake there is no way back, no undo.
