No, it will be altered for your campaign (unless you revert any changes). If you start a new campaign it will use the updated changes from the developer though.

I suddenly seem to have a whole bunch of projects in my schedule....and every single one of them self-imposed. Keeps me from going stir crazy though so I don't mind.

It gives me something to do, and I am not trying to more than one at a time. If I spent less time playing a couple other games on Steam I would have had Weird Wars Rome done already. The only reason I stumbled across the problems with the Fantasy Companion is cause I am thinking of using SW for my home brew world, so I wanted to take a look at it.
At some point in the next month or so I will sit down and update the tables so they are rollable then send it over to Doswelk to update.Ultimate License Holder

Updating this thread, the problem is a bit more widespread - but I also stumbled across a likely reason and solution. The gear table in the Deluxe Player Guide is the same as the Fantasy Companion in the screen shot from my OP. Both Deadlands Players Guide and the Weird Wars Rome player guide I just completed look like the first screen shot attached in this thread - we both did the same thing - dropped the offending "Notes" column and called it a day.
Screenshot number 2 shows why the "notes" column is being cut off the way it is in the SWPG and was in the Fantasy Companion. At one point FG and the schema/templates for SW wanted that information in this particular format. Somewhere along the way that changed.
Fixing the issues seen in both the original Fantasy Companion screenshot and the DLR screenshot in this post is a two step process. First change what the XML in the file says to what I show in screenshot 3, then in the item section itself change the "Notes" lines to show what I have in screenshot 4.
I have changed my copy of the SW Player Guide if the powers that be need it to verify.
I will also need to update the WWR Player Guide I submitted.Last edited by Mortar; April 23rd, 2016 at 16:37. Reason: forgot a screenshot
