Core character in non-core game?
So, a core character can become non-core, likely by leveling and taking non-core stuff, or buying non-core stuff not on a chronicle, etc. Can a core character play in a non-core game and stay core?

No. Playing a core character in a non-core game is what makes the character non-core. Other than just deciding to make the character non-core and then choosing non-core options, of course.
