finding the 5E ruleset
Hi all - I will admit that I am not very PC savvy, but I would like to convert one of my campaigns into 5e but I seem to have a problem and can't find the ruleset that is supposed to be included in FG.
I've looked everywhere in the FG folders and have used one of the Parse programs to get the monster manual and spells, and have watched a couple of youtube videos where they say to get the ruleset Module
and but it in the library - problem is I can't find it anywhere
also running an old girl of a computer with about 8 years of data and would take 8 years to use the search function lol
any help would be greatly appreciated - oh by the way just in case if it matters I only have a full licence not an ultimate
thanks again

On the Splash Screen what version does it say you are running? Top Right Hand Corner?
Click Settings and make sure your forum username and password are saved in there.
Click Update and let it run.
You should have 5e as an Option when choosing Create New Campaign.

Is your issue that you can't start a new 5E campaign? Or, you can start a 5E campaign, but you can't find your monster and spell modules to activate?

I can get in fine, and the library modules are spells, monsters, fumble table, calendar and battlemaps - but nothing else
when I did the parse I used the 5E basic rules parser following a youtube instructions, he seemed to get three items out of it were as I got the two (spells and monsters),
oh and version 3.0.10 (and I tried the update to no avail)
Thanks heaps

You only get two modules with the Basic Parser - monsters and spells. The instructions with the Basic Parser tell you how it works - see post #1 here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...les-PDF-Parser
Step #5 in the instructions tells you that you will get some .txt files for use with PAR5E. In the directory where you ran the Basic Rules parser from, there will be an input directory created which contains these .txt files - use them with PAR5E to create another module.Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. Thanks Trenloe, I hope WOTC start selling their game in the next 2 years on FG because it'll probably take me that long to nut out the parsing properly lol.
I'll probably have upgraded the old girl and lose everything so make that 4 years
