You can put the exe anywhere that it can be called from. I put it there as that location is already in my PATH.
Yes copy the content into notepad and save as "All Files" and call it FGBackup.bat or FGBackup.cmd etc.
Check the paths are right for your computer.

Will this thread be updated for FG v3.3.6 compatable extensions or is there another thread for that version (I can't find it if so). Thank you!

You need to check the threads for each extension yourself to see if they are compatible with v3.3.6. This thread really just collects the threads into one place, it doesn’t guarantee compatibility with any version.
