    yeah, i dragged them to the spell tab but from that tab you cant seem to use them in combat? or can you?

    No you cant - spells are largely just informational.
    The character sheet tracks spells known, prepared and used and you can click the spell entry to read the description but there is no automation for spells.

    Combat effects for spells (AC adjustment, extra damage, etc) are applied as effects in the combat tracker.

    @Verbalcody - I have just created 3 short (4mins or less) videos. I know you have moved past this stage but I will add some more over the next week or so. They will definitely be aimed at "getting started". I will keep them all short so that you can access only what you need each time. Let me know if you think these will be useful to others getting started.
