Can anyone help: New to GMing in SW

    Hi all,

I'm quite used to FG and GMing in general (rolemaster), but is there a generous soul out there willing to give me a brief tutorial of SW ruleset (with the improvement extension if possible) from a GM perspective so I might get a game going. There are obviously a quite a few features different (compared to the RMC ruleset). Send me a PM if you can help.

Evenings or weekends GMT (not later than midnight) suits me best.

    Thank you in advance

PM me an email address and I would be happy to run you through it all!
My players just defeated an army, had a dogfight with aliens, machine-gunned the zombies, stormed the tower, became Legendary and died heroically

Yours are still on combat round 6

Also if you want to setup a trial one shot game to get your feet wet, I'd toss in as a player. Just aim for an evening weekend game so us US timezone guys can join in.

That'd let you test out the setting, make sure players can connect, etc.

That would be appreciated. I'd probably go for a Sunday evening (I'm not allowed play Saturday )

To be honest, I would be also interested to know what tricks other GMs use to smooth up the flow of the game! Learning different cultures/techniques can never be harmful. In addition there might be something I have totally missed! Why not even have SW-GM-CON where different gamemasters could be sharing their ideas and techniques

If people would not mind, I would love to join bennis learngroup -- and I strongly believe that bennis and I share the same suitable schedule times

No! I'm totally against Ikael learning new ways to kill off my character!!! ( only joking - it was so fun / tense the last time)

We did the same with the Rolemaster ruleset (I ran some myself) so if Doswelk is happy for others to join, the more the merrier.

I just can't think of that screen share program we used last time. it begins with m (mikago or something like that)

One good free screensharing application is https://join.me/ One person can start sharing and any people can start to watch it. It's not useful for secret meeting because anyone can see it, but I don't think we are going to plan how to kill PCs this time

Yeah, I'm sure you'll organise a secret meeting of PC killer GMs for that. You can't use join.me for that

Doswelk has no problem with you joining in, if you are free Friday at 7pm (GMT)

We are going to use join.me and teamspeak
