    Pathfinder on FG Newbie Tutorial

I've posted a 3 part tutorial on playing Pathfinder on Fantasy Grounds covering the basics of the character sheet in part 1, Combat in part 2, and Chat/Map and Ruleset basics in part 3. It's a first start so Im still trying to find ways to improve the resolution and pacing, but I suspect I am constrained at least somewhat by the use of a free program (screen real estate is tight as a result). If you're interested, you can find them below:

    Very nice tutorials Talen.
    Couple of questions
1 You mention that some of the rule books have been parsed already. When I downloaded the Pathfinder rule set (7) the core rule book is very much blank?
Is there an updated one I should be looking for?

I also downloaded the Parser for the Bestiary and it only shows up in the 3.5 rules. Do you know of a way to change that.

Or are you using a generic/modified rule set for Pathfinder.

I have a more questions than I can think of at the moment but wish to play so I am also looking for a group.

    Any answers will be appreciated.

To answer your questions in order:

    1. There is no need to download the Pathfinder ruleset if you are using the latest version of Fantasy Grounds. As a player, you just need to join a game and the GM with take care of ruleset selection. If you are the GM, select 3.5 as your ruleset and once launched, you will have the option of further selecting Pathfinder. Once that is done, the Pathfinder basic rules, spells and beastiary 1 will all be included as a selectible module. Once opened, you can view the entries in your Library in the lower right.

    2. With regard to the parser, you won't need it for the first beastiary as it is included with the Pathfinder ruleset as described above. For the Beastiary 2, the parser is not a module you would open within Fantasy Grounds, but rather a program which lets you copy from a Beastiary book or scenario, paste into a text file and create a "monster" module to be transfered into Fantasy Grounds. The video does not cover this piece and players need not be concerned with it. I will likely do a video on the parser at some point for GM's and include this piece.

If you have further questions, fire away.

With regard to looking for a game, I've just created a Yahoo Group to recruit GM's and players interested in playing Pathfinder Society games on Fantasy Grounds. Feel free to go to https://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/fg2pfs/
and check it out. It's still under development ( I plan to add more content and schedule additional games this weekend), but I'm hoping we can grow it like we had done with Living Forgotten Realms where we had over 600 players and GM's all told.

Haven't watched them all, but have to say that you did a nice job with the videos. I've never played, only GMed, so I learned some stuff in less than a minute watching the comabt vid.
