Open Table part 2
So, I'm back from my venture beneath the waves (hopefully for the last time). Rather than update the two previous posts I though I'd start another, to determine what direction to take the Open Table discussion, i.e. a dungeon or some other setting...?
Something with minimal prep would be ideal, as things are rather busy while I try to find a new job.
Edit:
Settings discussed so far:
- Fantasy Dungeon
- SciFi "Dungeon"
- Necropolis
- Necessary Evil
- Modern Hard SciFI
- Infinite Worlds
- Suzerain
- Matrix
- Horror

Hiya,
How about a dungeon set in some sort of magical plane of existence. We're not sure why we're there and people keep disappearing and reappearing for no reason and have no knowledge of what happened to them. (kinda like in Cube except for the dissappearing/reappearing bit.
Could use one of the random dungeon generators around on the web to get a map and fill in most the rooms.

Then just add a few extra's here and there with clues as to what's going on.

If you want to do sci-fi it could be like in the Matrix. PC's appear and disapear and it's beyond their control.

Horror: PCs are chained to research tables, fed intravenously, with electrodes in their brains. Periodically they are thrown into a shared virtual world by way of experimentation. A rebel among their tormentors inserts clues into the scenarios to aid them in their search for a way to break free.

All good, I especially like Spyke's, can't beat a bit of horror.
For those that are interested in playing, maybe we should vote. I'll update the first post with all the suggestions so far.
I think the "Modern Hard SciFi", "Matrix" and "Horror" settings as discussed are all very similar and would get my vote.
