There's also this guide for scraping and parsing functional data using the 4EParser with a DDI account:

The DDI Compendium Scrape functionality only includes content the compendium has available. Non-Functional rulebook text is not available.
For non-functional data/text, this has to be hand cut n pasted from a PDF or another OCR source.FG Project Development

It seems that the new PHB 3 content (mostly the new monk stuff) seems to have broken the parser. It looks like the movement techniques for the monk at least in part are throwing a few things off. The weapons as well don't seem to parse correctly.

I am assuming you have the latest version of the Parser, v4.0.56.0. Which is needed for the new Augmentation, Skill powers, Superior Implements and the other new material introduced in PHB3.
I have just scraped PHB3 and aside from some corruption with the 1st level attack power for Seekers, Spider Spirits the only other problem I had was with [] characters appearing in the mi.txt output file. A quick search and replace of the [] characters with a ' and all parsed successfully.
Can you upload a screenshot of the processing error messages your getting and we'll see if we can help you out.Last edited by Zeus; April 20th, 2010 at 07:44.
