Hmmm.. I'll admit I didn't look at the log he posted, I just chatted with him in discord and asked questions. Once he connected to my table fine with the alias, I asked him if his DM used a password for his table and he said yes. The reason I asked is that for the Wednesday night game I play in the DM uses a password (I don't for my table) and we can't access his table with the alias, only the external ip address. When we try to use his alias it just gives us a connection error. I guess I thought that might just be the way it works with a password protected table. It comes up so rarely, I've never known if that is standard operating procedure or not.
I connect to one of my games for which the GM has a password using an alias all the time. Works fine.
I am having the same issue now. Cant connect after the update (btw x64! awesome!) anyway I have done everything! Networks private, firewall is only through windows and not router. Port is forwarded (for incoming connections), etc. I played in a game the other day too. I tried connecting to 2 different hosts to play in a game today and could not connect to either. Does not look good so I could use some help!

Is there some new issues going around?
Wait a sec. So in addition to not being able to host a game, you can't connect to other games as a player? That most definitely sounds like something with windows 10 defender. Did you check to make sure you still have the rule in windows defender to allow fantasygrounds.exe? That could be the culprit.
If you can't host or connect, it sounds like something is blocking network access for FG, as Gwydion mentioned.
The usual culprits:
* Double check to make sure your network connection on Windows is set to Private.
* Check all your security software to make sure FantasyGrounds is allowed/ignored (including Windows Firewall, McAfee, Norton, Bitdefender, MalwareBytes, and so on).
