Probably not specific to Forge but that is where I encountered this behaviour.
1. Log in through https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/forum.php
2. Open Forge in new tab https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/
3. Log-out in top-right corner
4. Refresh tab with forum -> still logged in
