FG Con - No Warhammer WFRP??

I've been eagerly checking these pages for anyone running a WFRP game but to no avail. Has the game really fallen from grace that much that noone is playing it? Despite it being IMHO still one of the best RPGs out there?

If my GM skills (and familiarity with GMing via FG) were sufficient I'd have tried to start my own game but even then I wonder how many takers there would even have been.

I mean how many games of D&D/Pathfinder does one need? Not that I'm especially attacking those games mind (each to their own). But are people simply playing it cos it's new and there's lots of available players? Or has everyone really dumped WFRP in favour what I feel are more limited systems? Very sad indeed :(

It needs a GM to run a game.

FG Con is a completely voluntary convention - we don't push a GM to run any specific game (other than me hounding a bunch of PFS GM's to get the minimum we need for Paizo support). If there's no WFRP3 events then there's no WFRP3 GMs wanting to run a session. Shame, I like the system and love the background.

I played in a one shot WFRP with Trenloe as the GM at SydCon about 3 years ago!

The vast majority of the Pathfinder/D&D sessions are full...
So there are GMs and Players wanting it.

But as Trenloe says - its up to the GMs firstly to offer it and then Players to sign up.
Do not fret if your GM skills are not there yet - in 6 months (and possibly even less) we will be running another one so you can run a session then :)

I do hope my post didn't come off as a dig at the FG Con in any way. I think the con is great was just lamenting the lack of WFRP3 action that's all and I appreciate entirely that it's run purely on a who decides to GM what. Keep up the good work guys. And yes I think I'll take you up on that challenge of running a WFRP3 game for the next FG Con damned :)
