#3-01 The Frostfur Captives (Wednesday)

Escort a group of prisoners across the snowy wastes of Irrisen so the Society can obtain their vital information about the plans of the remaining renegade Shadow Lodge cells.

This is one of my favorite scenarios, so I hope to do it justice.

Calendar sign-ups for Wednesday and Saturday.

As I already have three players for this one, there will be TWO sessions, assuming enough interest. The one on Wednesday will be at 6PM Central, and already has a fighter 2, wizard 2, and ranger 1. The one on next Saturday is completely open. I'm free that day, so an afternoon or evening game works equally well. Feel free to suggest a time if the two I've listed don't quite work for you.

Voice: The game on Wednesday will be on Skype. The game on Saturday is on the community TeamSpeak server (fgts.servegame.com).

Please post your characters in advance so I can make sure they work. The new rules will have taken effect by the Saturday game.

EDIT: There is now a new thread for Saturday's game (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...ad.php?t=17127) with a poll for the scenario. Please keep this one about Wednesday's game.

Any chance one of these (either session Saturday) could be a different module? Only reason I ask is because I have played that one already. Very happy to cover the cost of the pdf :)

Unfortunately, I don't have time to prep another scenario for next Saturday. It's several hours of work to get these into Fantasy Grounds. The only others I have ready are the First Steps trio and We Be Goblins!

I'm going to make another thread, and put up a poll for Saturday. I remember now that Frostfur Captives was one of the FG Con games.

It might be great if someone ran a tier 3-4/4-5 also. I figure we must have a few people who have leveled up by now :)

I can play the 8 PM EST time slot on Saturday. I will attach my character shortly.

I'd enjoy doing the Wednesday game as a 1-2 and the Saturday as a 4-5. I'd also be insanely jealous, since I haven't gotten to play above 1-2 yet.

Nah, it's all good. I won't be killing characters out of spite, honest!

And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you darn kids!

I will get my first TPK someday, and be proud. Heck, I'll take one death. I don't believe in forcing it, though, so just don't be stupid.

Yeah, there's a few people with level 3's and 4's but we still usually get 2 or 3 1st levels signing up so it keeps us at subtier 1-2. I've been thinking of specifically running a subtier 4-5 only game at some point but that won't be for a few weeks...

If you do, please run it on the weekend so that more people have the ability to play.

Just realized I'm a liar. I've played Sewer Dragons of Absalom, and that's a 3-7. I forgot because I was a level 2 at the time, so now I'm not sure if it's legal for my character.

Hoping to try out an Aasimer cleric in the 7pm slot.

It's not legal I'm afraid. :-( For PFS scenarios your PC level has to be within the complete tier range (not necessarily the subtier range, just the main range - 3-7 in this case).

Some people think you can be 1 level within the tier range - but this is not for PFS scenarios, this is for sanctioned modules with have a single level "tier" which is restrictive, so you are allowed to play a PC of 1 level higher or lower for sanctioned modules only.

Crud. And I used the gold, so it's going to be annoying to fix.

I happen to be sitting on a purchased copy of Sewer Dragons of Absolom and soon as my port forward gets fixed I would love to run it.

Gwaihir Scout, hey can you put me on the wait list? I can play a pregen cleric if needed and if you can apply it to one of my level 1 characters I am fine with that.

Thanks for the offer Kozzom, but I think you're not allowed to play a pregen unless you don't have a legal character to play, irrespective of class concerns.

I'll check, but maybe Trenloe or someone else who knows will chime in first.

FYI - if you play a 1st level pregen, you have to apply to chronicle sheet to a *new* 1st level character (one that hasn't any previous chronicles/XP).

Basically, you can always play a level appropriate pregen character, even if you have a valid character yourself. But, you can't apply the chronicle gained with a 1st level pregen to a character who has already played a session - it has to be a new character (0XP, no chronicles).

Actually I do have one. Its Dakin 1st Level Paladin 55012-4 that has never played.

Yeah, went and checked. I misread it, somehow going from can't apply a 1st-level pregen to a (pre-existing) 1st-level character to can't play a 1st level pregen if you have a first-level character.

Fizzure, this .xml is straight out of Hero Labs, and hasn't been converted to FG format. You need to export it out of Hero Labs as a FG character, then run the FG Character Converter on it. Normally I'd be able to convert the HL export for you, but I seem to have a bad DLL.

FYI...Magnuson's Society # is 45153-3.

Yeah, I tried that, and rolled a 3. So I think you want to do it yourself. I'll be able to let you do it around 8 Central.
