Beta 4.2.0: Paint tool: Eyedropper changed line tool to draw closed polygons
Ran into an issue where after using the eye dropper tool on a closed polygon, the line tool began drawing closed polygons instead of line segments. This screenshot shows the line segment behavior before and after using the eye dropper tool on the rectangle.
To recreate in a new 5E campaign:
- New image
- Paint > Rectangle > Image Paint. Drag river_brush_3x4.png (from FG Art Pack 2019) to the swatch.
- With the river brush, draw a rectangle
- Switch to the Line tool
- Click Paint (to return brush to default paint brush)
- Click Eye Drop (Sample settings from paint object)
- Sample the rectangle drawn earlier with the river brush. The brush is updated to the river brush
- Note the "End Cap" setting becomes de-selected
- Begin drawing a line with the now selected river brush
- Make 3 points in a triangle (points e, f, g in screenshot). Note that points e and g are automatically connected to close the polygon.
- Make a 4th point (h), the 1st point (e) is updated to connect to the new 4th point (h)
At this point the line tool will continue drawing closed polygons until the image is closed and re-opened (unless there is a setting I missed).
