Hey Leo, I've just started to delve into "Curses" and trying to create effects that will automate them in FGU. Looking at the upcoming Dying Earth setting one of the curses there increases the fumble range for a PC. Fumbles on a 1 or a 2. Is there an existing effect in FGU that would trigger such an event? Like there is for Crit#-#.
Nothing currently in the ruleset. An extension would probably be the best route for Dying Earth mechanics, but I gave up on the expansion franchises after they pulled the rug out on Lankhmar :D
I hear ya there. I'm not too interested in running a full Dying Earth campaign, I never read the books. I'm just cannibalizing elements I find interesting. The fumble range increase is the only mechanic I stumbled across that seemed like it would possibly be in the CORERPG already. But alas!
