If you guys supported Hackmaster 5E I would but it right now but I wont run any of the other games you support. It looks neat but as a GM I can only run one system.

The Kenzer guys have always been great. I am sure that they wouldn't mind someone creating a version of Hackmaster for use on FG, as long as they were treated fairly, which I am sure Smiteworks would do. I am not capable of creating such a Ruleset though and it would have to be someone else.
Yeah Hackmaster is great. I wouldn't run it but I'd sure try playing in a game.
Hackmaster is my favorite system, and I am sad to say I have been using Fantasy Grounds far less since moving over to Hackmaster because there's no ruleset for it, and I don't have the time to work on one myself.
If anyone is working on one, even a rudimentary ruleset, I would love to see it/help playtest it.
I suggest going here https://www.facebook.com/kenzerco/?fref=ts and posting about your desire or going to Kenzerco.com and posting on the forums there.
The Kenzer guys said, on their facebook page, that they just do not have the capability in house to create a ruleset. They are happy to see a third party do so though.
I agree, I am talking with Samarex to see what he and I can do about it. It may be nothing but it might be something, have to wait and see what the two of us can do.
After reading this post I went and downloaded the basic.I haven't finished reading it but it seems really good!
Start with doing a custom character sheet using corerpg and the Dammed extension for it called MoreCore
If you wait 2 weeks until FG updates to 3.2.0 then I will release a MoreCore ruleset with some nice additional features.
But... Hackmaster doesnt use the standard Initiative sort CoreRPG (and most other) RPGs use.
and the penetration dice would be difficult as well but it would be still doable.
I look forward to seeing what you have done with MoreCore Damned
So, since this is something we all want, I thought I'd take a shot at the title.
To continue the boxing analogy, I am, however, punching out of my weight class, as I have pretty minimal coding experience (read: a tiny bit of C in highschool 20 years ago). Thanks to a good friend of mine (who is a BRILLIANT coder) and the fine folks here, we're making some slow progress. At this points, I'm basically just re-skinning the character sheet, so thus far, no functionality, etc. I'm still working on the layout, so things aren't centered, etc, but I'm open to suggestions, if anyone wants to chime in. Wish us luck. Attachment 17031 Attachment 17032
Hehehehe - nice Laramie Wall with the favour of the gods we might have a slew of old school gaming options available in the next few months!
Laramie Wall - are you actively working on Hackmaster? I was thinking about working on it after I finish my current project, but that will be a good while from now.
I am "actively working" on it. However, I have at best a novice level of ability. So, I'll try to post updates, but when your current project rounds off, I will not be offended were someone else to bump in and team up or take over.
Collaboration or a team up would work for me. I don't want to just take it over. :)
All good. When you round off current projects, feel free to hit me up for an all-star team up.
Oh neat, is this actually happening?
I would love to help in any way I can. My only programming skill is HTML though, so I don't know how much of a help I can be. Playtesting maybe... but if there is some way I can be of help let me know.
Sorry to bother you guys by resurrecting a 2-year-old thread. I was just in contact with the crew at FG, and their latest was that they are not planning anything for HM, and referred me to the MoreCore set. Then I discovered that there was some work on HM specifically, but it apparently died out. What is the latest news on this? Sorry for not reading through the entire MC thread; it is 110 pages long.
There was a bit of work on a Hackmaster set, but MoreCore doesn't support the kind of penetrating dice needed to play HackMaster, and the developer has said he has no interest in working on that. So I think that work got abandoned.
While I realize that there aren't plans for a HM ruleset, the Kickstarter did say that FGU would support HackMaster's penetrating dice. That gives me hope.
Once it's possible to include penetrating dice, it shouldn't be too hard to tweak the AD&D 2e Ruleset into a HM ruleset, then input everything in the free HackMaster Basic PDF to create free basic HM Ruleset. As far as I know, know progress has been made at this point, but I will probably give it another stab once FGU and penetrating dice are out.
@ CannedMan.
Work has been sporadic. At this point, it's just a semi functional character sheet, but VERY much a work in progress. Kinda seeing what FGU brings us to decide how to proceed.
Current layouts. Constructive comments welcome

Hey wow! This is looking fantastic! I'm going to have to give in a closer look after downloading, but on a first glance I like what I'm seeing. It looks pretty functional.
One question - are the exploding dice working correctly?
IIRC, MoreCore doesn't do HackMaster dice right. That is, they explode to the same die rather than to the die -1. And d20's don't explode to d6-1 either as far as I recall. I was wondering if you found a way around that.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
At this point the ruleset has ZERO automation, as I don't know how to do that YET. I'm just getting into how to do scripts, at this point, it's just an online character sheet.
In all honesty, that's the most important part. Without the character sheet, it's a no-go.
Automation is nice and fun, but if we were playing at a table we'd have zero automation too. Tabletop RPGs are designed without automation in mind, so there shouldn't truly be a need of it. And to be honest, remembering which rules are automated and which ones aren't in the 5e ruleset has been a hassle that leads to mistakes.
If you've got a working character sheet and the dice rolls function as intended, then you've done an amazing job. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake.
Thanks.
A character sheet might be the most important part, but I think the most important part of GETTING a character sheet might a little support like that.
Thank you.
