I can do that now in the 1E ruleset. So the 2E ruleset adds the 2e versions of things that have stats, talents, etc.?
2E and 1E are not separate rulesets. They are the same ruleset with the ability to change the rules interpretation based on what version you wish to play. The 2E module purchase gets you the records already made with the talents, npcs, ships, and so on.
Is there a way to make a roll from the party's ship sheet? Can make rolls direct from an NPC Ship record can but there doesn't seem to be a similar way select System/Department and roll for ships that have been assigned to the party sheet. Thinking of the case when the ship may be used to assist player characters with a non-standard action.
2E question: Since 2E did away with NPC hit points (stress) - is there a way to display/manage NPC Personal Threat? I see the Personal Threat value on the NPC record but no way to mark how much has been used either there or on the combat tracker.
Relevant section from the 2E rules:
Quote:
NPCs do not have Stress, and cannot Avoid Injury or other consequences by taking Stress. NPC rules for injuries and Stress include:
*A Minor NPC is instantly defeated upon taking any Injury. A Stun Injury results in the NPC being instantly rendered unconscious. A Deadly Injury results in the NPC's immediate death or disintegration (at the gamemaster's discretion).
*A Notable NPC may, once per scene, Avoid Injury by spending Threat equal to the severity of the Injury.
*A Major NPC may Avoid Injury by spending Threat equal to the severity of the Injury. They may do this as many times per scene as they wish, so long as there is sufficient Threat.
*NPC Starships are defeated in the same way as the players' ship: after suffering more breaches than the ship's Scale, or more breaches to one system than half the ship's Scale.
You can add a NPC crew member and have access to the crew rolls, but no, they are not similar to NPC ships.
I didn't have an elegant way to handle 2E combat and including 1E in the same ruleset. I have notes for some methods that could work and will be trying them out when I am able to circle back to the ruleset.
In the 2E Core Rulebook, I see Awards are set up as their own record type and are also an option for exporting into a module. Where is the link to access the list of awards to create new records in the active campaign? I don't see any menu bar options to access. Can view the list of awards included in a module from the module screen - but can't create new ones from this view...
